Pancake Day is about having a great day of fun with friends while supporting local people in need. Throughout February and March hundreds of groups across Victoria and Tasmania host events to raise money to support people in need.
Funds raised at Pancake Day events help Uniting Ballarat provide practical support to disadvantaged people in our community, including the homeless, abused and vulnerable children and adults, the frail and aged, families in crisis and those with disabilities.

You can show your support and get involved in the fun of Pancake Day by:
The first thing you need to do is register your event. It’s easy, a host pack will then be sent to you with all the information and materials you need to host your Pancake Day event.
You will receive a host pack in the mail shortly after you register your event. Within the host pack you will find all the information you need and lots of promotional material. If you need more, you can download more resources online.
The official date of Pancake Day is Tuesday 13 February, but don’t worry, you can host your event anytime in February or March.
Have a good think about what date and location would suit the type of event you would like to hold, and check to see it suits all those involved. Send out a ‘save the date’ invite to friends, family or colleagues so they are informed of the event.
There are lots of ways you could host your Pancake Day event, from a pancake cook up, to a pancake flipping competition. There’s no right or wrong way of hosting, it’s just about being creative, and doing what best suits you. Check out some Pancake Day event ideas.
The day of your big event has come. So get cooking, and remember to have fun.
Thanks! Don’t forget to forward your funds.
Congratulations! You have helped those in your local community experiencing disadvantage by hosting your very own Pancake Day. You deserve a pat on the back! But before you do that, don’t forget to forward the funds raised to Uniting. You will find instructions in your host pack on how to do this. To ensure that your money assists your local community, make sure you nominate Uniting Ballarat as the agency to receive the funds.
